Structural Engineer
Peak Demand
Our client is a leading provider of solar tracking systems used in large commercial, community solar and utility-scale applications. Focused on improving performance, reliability, and scalability, the company designs integrated hardware and control solutions that optimize solar energy production.
The Structural Engineer will help drive the next generation of tracker products, focused on structural performance, environmental loading, and design optimization within a product development environment. The work centers on analyzing how structures respond to wind and other environmental forces, using digital modeling and real-world validation to improve durability, performance, and cost.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, refine, and validate analytical and computational models used to assess structural performance.
- Compare simulation results with field observations and real-world performance data to improve model accuracy.
- Analyze historical weather and environmental datasets to identify potential risks and performance considerations.
- Recommend engineering improvements that enhance structural integrity, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical publications, research initiatives, and industry-focused thought leadership efforts.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering and product development teams to advance understanding of structural performance and design optimization.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- Background in Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline is a plus.
- Experience performing structural analysis, engineering modeling, and evaluating structural behavior under environmental loading conditions.
- Experience supporting infrastructure, energy, or other large-scale engineered systems.
- Experience working with large datasets and applying analytical methods to support engineering decisions.
- Strong understanding of wind loading and other environmental forces that impact structural performance.
- Familiarity with historical weather data and its application to structural risk assessment and performance evaluation.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical findings through reports, presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Phoenix metropolitan area preferred.
Salary Range: $120-140K depending on experience
