Their solar module manufacturing facility is poised to double output this year and to support this growth, they are looking for a Manufacturing Operations to oversee Production, Engineering and Quality teams in a highly automated manufacturing plant.

The Director of Operations – Solar Manufacturing will lead Production, Engineering, and Quality within a highly automated manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day plant performance, continuous improvement initiatives, operational execution, and leadership development across multiple departments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations
- Improve throughput, productivity, quality, and overall manufacturing performance
- Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, working directly with team members and supervisors to address challenges and drive accountability
- Monitor and improve key metrics, including safety, quality, downtime, scrap, labor efficiency, and equipment effectiveness
- Partner with Supply Chain, Materials, Maintenance, and senior leadership to align operational priorities with business objectives
- Oversee production schedules and manufacturing output to ensure customer demand and production goals are met
- Support the performance and reliability of automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, and process systems
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve plant performance
- Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, productivity, and process reliability
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, quality standards, and operating procedures
- Recruit, develop, and mentor leaders and employees across multiple functional areas
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Support long-term manufacturing growth, capacity planning, and operational expansion initiatives
- Prepare and present reports on production performance, staffing, quality metrics, and operational results
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience working in a highly automated manufacturing environment
- Experience leading Production, Engineering, and/or Quality organizations
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation systems, robotics, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment
Salary Range: $130-150k plus bonus
