The Manager of Commercial Contracts is responsible for advancing the company’s approach to commercial agreement development across complex energy storage transactions. 

This role focuses on establishing scalable contract standards that balance commercial priorities with risk considerations and execution requirements. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Commercial Operations, the individual will streamline agreement processes, remove friction in deal progression, and enhance consistency across transactions. This position plays a key role in supporting efficient deal execution and enabling sustainable growth as the business continues to expand.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the design and evolution of standardized agreement structures, including supply agreements, long-term service agreements, and contracts supporting AC-integrated storage solutions
  • Ensure contractual frameworks reflect commercial objectives, customer expectations, and appropriate risk allocation across complex transactions
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to align contract approaches with deal strategy and customer positioning
  • Act as the central point of coordination across Sales, Legal, and Commercial Operations to facilitate efficient negotiation and approval processes
  • Support live transactions by advising on contract structuring, negotiation strategy, and risk trade-offs
  • Lead contract development for AC-integrated solutions, incorporating key components such as power conversion systems, EMS, and BOS scope
  • Establish clear boundaries of responsibility across project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on interfaces, scope, and execution risk
  • Review active agreements to identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, and areas of exposure
  • Refine contract language, templates, and workflows to improve consistency and accelerate deal execution timelines
  • Maintain structured oversight of contract documentation, including version control, tracking, and change management 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Business or closely related field
  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in commercial operations, contract management,  or project development within energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
  • Understanding of BESS, grid integration, power conversion systems (PCS), and energy management systems (EMS) strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional environments supporting complex commercial transactions
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Effective communication skills across technical, legal, and commercial stakeholders

Salary Range – $140,000 – 150,000 plus bonus
