Solar Business Developer

Our client is a leading solar and energy storage solutions provider specializing in civil construction for commercial and utility-scale projects. As they continue to expand their market presence, they are seeking a dynamic Solar Business Developer to drive growth and cultivate long-term relationships.


The Solar Business Developer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with EPCs, and building a strong pipeline of solar and storage projects. This role requires a results-driven professional with a proven track record in B2B solar sales and the ability to navigate industry trends, utility incentives, and state policies. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, the ability to close deals, and a strategic mindset for expanding market opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPCs and key industry stakeholders to generate new and repeat business.
  • Prospect and build a robust pipeline of solar and energy storage projects.
  • Track business development efforts, success rates, and opportunities using CRM software.
  • Stay informed on relevant solar policies, trends, and financial incentives to identify new market opportunities.
  • Present and negotiate project proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives.
  • Maintain a professional presence in the industry, representing the company at conferences, meetings, and client engagements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project handoffs from business development to execution.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to assess project feasibility and strengthen client relationships.


Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years in the solar/renewable energy industry and 5+ years in business development and/or sales.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of solar project development, utility incentives, and state-level policies.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to close deals and drive revenue growth.
  • Communication & Organization: Strong ability to track and report business development activities in an easily understandable format.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently when necessary.
  • Travel: Ability to visit remote sites periodically as needed.


Salary: $90,000–$110,000 + Commission

With triple-digit growth in recent years and aggressive expansion plans for the next five years, they are seeking a strategic and technical executive to help lead the development of a Technical Services Division that is repowering damaged PV projects. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of a thriving renewable energy company.


The Director of Construction - Repowering will lead the development and growth of the company’s Technical Services division. This role will provide technical guidance and leadership for construction and estimation efforts for repowering projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who can build internal processes, manage large-scale rework and retrofit projects, and expand the client portfolio while optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a Technical Services strategy that aligns with company-wide objectives, ensuring long-term growth and operational excellence.
  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day solar facility operations, ensuring maximum system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and analyze performance data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the Technical Services department’s P&L, prepare budgets, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor O&M staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines while implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with existing and potential customers, regulatory bodies, investors, and industry partners. Represent the company in industry forums and expand the company’s market presence.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in EPC or O&M within the utility-scale solar industry.
  • Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams, with a proven track record of scaling departments.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets and P&L is highly preferred.
  • Customer Interface: Strong ability to engage with customers and drive large-scale projects from inception to execution.
  • Strategic Growth: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement departmental growth strategies.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically up to 25% for executive meetings and customer site visits.

Compensation: $140-175k + bonus and 100% paid company benefits

The East Coast Sales Manager will spearhead behind-the-meter and distributed generation sales activities, directly driving new solar, storage, and other energy as a service solution sales within the Eastern United States. This role is pivotal in expanding the client’s portfolio and project pipeline, executing market entry strategies, and pursuing new growth opportunities in rapidly evolving markets. This role will work directly with end use customer and leverage relationships with Contractors, Engineering firms and other energy services companies to bring innovative solutions to the market.  The Sales Manager will collaborate with development, engineering, legal, and project finance teams to craft persuasive value propositions for prospective clients and ensure sound economic fundamentals for investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Lead new customer acquisition efforts in the Eastern US with Commercial and Industrial customers and channel partners.
  • Sales Targets: Own and achieve sales volume targets within the assigned market.
  • Economic Assessment: Evaluate the economic viability of project proposals, proposing strategies to enhance revenue streams or reduce costs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Development, Engineering, Legal, and Management teams to advance projects efficiently.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor and assess emerging regulatory rulings, and regional state and utility energy incentive programs, identifying potential market opportunities.
  • Partner Coordination: Collaborate with regional partners supporting origination, development, or project delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation: Manage the negotiation process for Power Purchase Agreements/ESAs, leases, cash purchases, and other relevant project documentation.
  • Pipeline Management: Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasting, and progress to management.
  • Lead Management: Efficiently manage incoming leads and assess opportunities promptly.
  • Value Proposition Development: Analyze customer goals for sustainability, operational resiliency, and capital to craft compelling value propositions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with all functional groups to maintain and enhance deal velocity.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct energy services sales experience in the Eastern US, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong insight development and value proposition definition capabilities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to operate effectively with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving team environment.
  • Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to manage diverse relationships and multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Salary Range: $110 - 150K DOE + Uncapped commission

We are partnering with a leading Construction and EPC firm with over 30 years of experience managing complex energy and infrastructure projects nationwide.

Their renewable energy division has successfully completed over 2 GW of large commercial, community solar, and utility-scale projects.


We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the construction of renewable energy and utility projects across multiple sites in the region. In this role, you’ll collaborate with subcontractors and site managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

As a diversified company, you’ll have the opportunity to manage a wide variety of projects, including solar, energy storage, standby generators, and general utility infrastructure. 


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in Renewable Energy or Utility construction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel and be on-site heavily.
  • Proven experience in identifying and analyzing basic and complex commercial and contractual risks.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Revu etc.


Salary range: $120-130k DOE

We are working with a leading provider of inverters and power conversion technology used in wind, solar, and electric vehicle charging. To date, they have delivered 28 GW globally, through Solar PV inverters and Energy Storage. Their US HQ will be ramping production for domestic content requirements. To support their growth, we have been retained to find an experienced Sales Manager that will identify new opportunities and drive growth in the utility scale market. 


The Sales Manager will be responsible for selling Central Inverters used in utility scale PV and Energy Storage projects. You will prospect and sell to leading IPPs, Developers, and EPCs. While this role will have support from Applications Engineers, they will need to have a strong technical aptitude and ability to talk in detail about product specifications and use cases.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, IndustrialEngineering, or 7+ years selling central inverters or ESS systems in the utility scale market. 
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Renewable industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Solar PV and Energy Storage markets and use cases.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.


Salary Range: $135-175K DOE + annual bonus.

Our client is a trusted leader in utility-scale solar construction with a strong foundation in civil work for large-scale renewable projects. As they expand into full turnkey EPC services for projects under 50MW, they are seeking an experienced Solar EPC Sales Manager to drive new business and build long-term partnerships with developers, IPPs, and key industry stakeholders.


The Solar EPC Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing EPC contracts for projects in the 5–50MW range. This role requires a dynamic sales professional with a proven ability to generate new business, maintain strong client relationships, and support the solar team throughout the pre-award phase. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the solar industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives that contribute to company growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with developers, IPPs, and other stakeholders to secure new EPC contracts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company’s presence in the 5–50MW project market.
  • Track business development efforts, maintain CRM records, and report on sales success rates.
  • Stay informed on solar policies, market trends, and incentive programs to identify emerging business opportunities.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure successful project handoffs to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align sales objectives with company capabilities and project execution strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Maintain an organized approach to tracking BD budgets and ensuring effective follow-ups with prospective clients.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in the solar/renewable energy industry.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in business development and/or sales.
  • Proven success selling EPC or related products and services to developers and IPPs for 5–50MW projects.

Their renewable energy division has successfully completed over 2 GW of large commercial, community solar, and utility-scale projects.


The Solar Site Superintendent will serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, ensuring the successful execution of solar and utility projects. This position requires a highly skilled professional adept at managing field operations, solving technical challenges, and leading crews to meet project goals. The Superintendent will oversee project planning, resource allocation, safety compliance, and quality assurance, working closely with foremen, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for field operations, managing foremen, crews, and subcontractors during project execution.
  • Review project specifications, plans, and daily reports to ensure adherence to job-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate crew and equipment scheduling to optimize resource utilization and project timelines.
  • Address and document conflicts, RFIs, change orders, and claims in collaboration with the project team.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other project management tools.
  • Safety certifications in civil construction (OSHA10, OSHA30, Trench Safety, Confined Space, CPR) or willingness to obtain them within six months.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and coordinate with stakeholders.

The Solar Site Superintendent will oversee construction activities at multiple project sites across RI, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position is responsible for managing field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, as well as maintaining compliance with all project specifications and safety standards. The Superintendent will play a key role in project planning, logistics, quality control, and overall site coordination to ensure successful project execution.


Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, overseeing all construction activities and ensuring adherence to project plans.
  • Crew & Vendor Management: Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in solar, energy, or utility-scale projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and scaling this next-generation microgrid solution. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, power electronics, and renewable energy integration. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless hardware and software integration while optimizing system performance for real-world deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems integrating solar PV, battery storage, and control software to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct detailed technical reviews and independent assessments of solar PV and BESS electrical engineering designs, construction documentation, and system performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on electrical engineering design reviews, project assessments, and construction monitoring.

The Solar Site Superintendent will serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, ensuring the successful execution of solar and utility projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for field operations, managing foremen, crews, and subcontractors during project execution.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, Master’s degree preferred.

Salary Range: $150-$200K DOE
