We are working with a fast-growing residential startup energy storage provider based in California. They are delivering solar and storage projects for residential consumers while also developing solutions for utilities like Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) and other ancillary services.
To support the growth of their utility solutions, we have been asked to find an experienced Software Engineer who would be excited building and managing an innovative software platform for Distributable Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS) and VPPs.
This role will report to the VP of Software Engineering and work on the development of key components of their DERMS platform. You will work with others in the Software Development team, Software Architects and Devops to build automation, test, and improve the existing software while building out new capabilities.
To be successful, you will need:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field
- 2+ years of energy storage, energy management systems or other renewable energy related software experience is required
- 5+ years of software engineering experience AWS experience with special focus on scripting would be ideal
- Experience creating lambda functions to access 3rd party APIs
