Their renewable energy division has successfully completed more than 2 GW of large commercial, community solar, and utility-scale projects. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, planning, and execution of renewable energy projects, ensuring they meet technical, regulatory, and safety standards. This hands-on position requires collaboration with internal teams, third-party consultants, and contractors to oversee project designs and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Engineer will also focus on optimizing designs, supporting utility interconnections, and ensuring that all projects adhere to the highest quality standards while meeting timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales, development, and construction teams to support the design and execution of renewable energy projects.
• Develop and review project designs, including construction feasibility, layout optimization, equipment selection, and energy modeling using tools like PVSyst and AutoCAD.
• Manage interconnection applications and coordinate with utility companies to facilitate seamless project integration.
• Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and permitting processes to support project development phases.
• Coordinate with external consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure deliverables meet project specifications and timelines.
• Perform due diligence on equipment and technology options, leveraging the latest advancements in solar and energy storage systems.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, ensuring engineering tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal standards for quality and safety.
• Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve issues during the project lifecycle, driving continuous improvement in engineering processes.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, specifically in solar energy system design and project engineering.
• Proficiency in solar energy modeling tools (e.g., PVSyst), AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
• Experience with utility interconnection processes and regulatory compliance.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000 + Bonus
