Market Development Manager – Community Solar

Job Description

We are working with a rapidly growing independent power producer developing portfolios of large commercial, public sector, and community solar and solar+storge projects in key markets across the country. They have quickly become one of the fastest-growing solar developers in the country with an industry-leading team.

As they continue to grow, they are looking to add an experienced Market Development Manager who will be responsible for the development and profitability of specific community solar markets.  The Market Development Manager will identify target markets, direct land acquisition activities, utility programs and incentives and RFP submissions in those markets.  You will lead and coordinate internal teams to support the execution in a given market(s) 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Development, Origination, or Analyst experience in Community Solar.
  • Strong Analytical and Financial Modeling skills to examine market viability.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and computation skills with financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business or related field.
