The Director of Business Development will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding the company’s market presence. This leadership role involves developing and executing sales strategies, fostering relationships with key industry players, and positioning the company as a trusted leader in the energy monitoring sector. As the sales team grows, the Director will oversee target setting, strategy development, and day-to-day leadership of the team to achieve ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion across various regions and industry verticals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with asset owners, project developers, and end users to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Set ambitious sales targets and quotas, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, and customer support teams to align sales strategies with market needs and customer feedback.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance its brand and reputation.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with company goals.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development or sales within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong track record of driving sales growth through various B2B sales channels
  • Strong understanding of the solar, renewable energy, and energy storage markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationships skills
  • Experience working in the energy monitoring or renewable energy industry is highly desirable

Salary Range: $140-$160K
